Sunday 17th May Easter 6

INTRODUCTION

As Jan says in her reflection, Rogation Sunday is when parishes go out and about re-marking the boundaries. We have a bit more scope to do that now after the limits on personal exercise have been widened! We’re still not travelling freely but can be outside for longer if we want.

We’re reminded about boundaries, the physical boundaries of our parish, our patch, that we are given for mission and ministry. We’ve seen those physical boundaries grow much broader as we have moved to email and Facebook. More people are able to access our Sunday Service, to join in with others praying through these leaflets.

It looks as though we may be back in church from 1 July, but still with social distancing in place. The PCC will be thinking about how we do that, Boundaries, again, to keep us safe while rebuilding relationships.

Meanwhile, we hope you’ve managed to do something for Christian Aid. That’s a recognition that in Christ the boundaries are so wide that all people are our brothers and sisters, so anything we can do to lighten their burden is following his command.

Alleluia, Christ is risen – He is risen indeed Alleluia
